Halal accreditation accounts for a process of assessing, accrediting, and monitoring the competence of the halal conformity assessment bodies against national regulations, international standards and other technical rules laid in the implementation documents of the accreditation body.
In this vein, Halal Accreditation Organization (IHA) evaluates and monitors the halal-related conformity assessment activities of bodies against national and international standards, as well as its own rules and procedures. IHA also provides Halal accreditation services to companies and institutions that wish to obtain a Halal certificate for their products and services.
The Halal Accreditation Organization (IHA) was established as part of the Sharia Committee and Halal Accreditation Department at the International College of Islamic Sciences, with the aim of promoting and developing the Halal culture within and outside the institution.
